Are Soft Drinks Actually "Liquid Candy?"

posted Saturday, 22 March 2008

Soft drinks fill the shelves in grocery stores, convenient stores, and gas stations just to name an few.  They are everywhere.  And there is such a variety.  For those who don't like cans, there are plastic bottles and there are glass bottles.  You can buy them individually or in six or twelve packs.  These popular drinks are filled with sugar.  They can be considered "liquid candy."

There is zero nutritioinal value is soft drinks.  Soda consumption comprimises proper hydration, causes tooth decay and increases the risk of obesity and diabetes.  Soda stresses the body and its pancreas, which produces insulin.

The following is the amount of sugar of a 12 ounce container of popular soft drinks:

  • Sprite: 45 grams
  • Pepsi:  41 grams
  • Coca-Cola:  40.5 grams
  • 7Up:  39 grams
  • Dr. Pepper:  37 grams
  • Mountain Dew:  31 grams

The Healthiest Alternative with Numerous Health Benefits is

Pure Camu.

Camu Camu (Myrciaia dubia) is a small tree that thrives in lush Rainforest soil enriched by the floodwaters of the Amazon Basin.  The fruit of the Camu Camu is the world's most concentrated source of naturally occurring vitamin C.

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant preventing the premature oxidation (aging) of cells.  It has been proven to support a strong immune system and cardiovascular health.  Further research shows that vitamin C is involved in maintaining proper levels of serotonin in the brain.  Serotonin is a mood balancing chemical in the brain that is associated with a sense of well-being and happiness.

In addition to providing 30 times more vitamin C than an orange, Camu Camu also has 10 times more iron, three times more niacin, twice as much riboflavin, and 50% more phosphorus.  Among Camu Camu's naturally occurring nutrients are many important minerals, including calcium, phosphorus, potassium and iron.  Deficiencies of these essential minerals may result in nervousness, anxiety, fatigue, mood changes and difficulty concentrating.

Micronutrients May Add Years To Your Life.

One of the most important of these anti-aging micronutrients is resveratrol.  Polyphenol resveratrol may extend life span and prrotect against cellular damage by increasing the activity of sirtuin enzymes which help control the rate at which organisms age.  Other important cofactors include amino acids, which may play a beneficial role as anti-aging agents.

Leucine - an essential amino acid

  • Increases production of growth hormones
  • Deficiencies may result in fatigue and irritability

Serine - an essential amino acid

  • Supports proper functioning of the brain and nervous system may benefit memory, sociability and alertness

Clear Your Mind and Brighten Your Day

Vitamin C is necessary for maintaining balanced levels of serotonin in the brain.  In addition, there are other important vitamins, including the B-complex vitamins, found naturally in the Camu Camu fruit which support an optimal emotional state.

Thiamin (vitamin B1)

  • A study at the University of Wales Swansea, UK, showed thiamin supplementation helped study participants be more clearheaded and energetic.

Riboflavin (vitamin B2)

  • Helped for stress management by supporting the adrenal glands.
  • Deficiencies of riboflavin showed slow mental response and mood disorders.

Niacin (vitamin B3)

  • Used in the synthesis of sex hormones and as a memory enhancer.
  • Promotes healthy functioning of nerve cells soothing feelings on anxiety and panic.
  • Deficiencies of niacin may result in mental fatigue and feelings of low self-esteem.

Pure Camu comes in a cylinder of 30 "fresh" packs which you empty into a bottle of pure water and shake vigorously.  This will re-energize the life force of the Pure Camu.  The cost of this is only $55.00 which is a months supply.

So does it make sence to drink "liquid candy" when you can have the healthiest drink that there is?  Why not give your body the best nutrients that there is!
